Wilma Darlene (McReady) Cartwright Tillman

Ms. Wilma Darlene McReady Cartwright Tillman, 60 of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday morning, November 17, 2020, at her residence following a sudden illness.

Born in Jesup, GA on February 29, 1960, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life.  Darlene was a housewife and was a member of New Life Assembly of God.  She dearly loved her church family and going to church which she had really missed due to COVID.  Darlene loved meeting people and looked forward to getting in the tanning bed every week. 

She was a daughter of the late Mary Caroline Tatum Pierce and George William McReady.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Elisha Thomas Cartwright.

Survivors include her siblings, Donna Kaye (Stacey) Morgan of Jacksonville, William Donald McReady of Hinesville, Carlton Mackey (Tonya) McReady and James Franklin Head all of Screven; her former husband, Kenneth Tillman of Blackshear; her sister and brother-in-law, Ernestine & Sylvester Scurry of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside services for Darlene will be held Saturday morning, November 21, 2020, at 11:00 o’clock from the Blackshear Cemetery with Pastor Andy Peacock officiating.

The family will have a private visitation.
