Willard Dixon Obituary

Mr. Willard Jackson Dixon, 98 of Blackshear, passed away Wednesday morning, April 14, 2021, at Baptist Village.

Born in Blackshear, Gaon September 12, 1922, he had lived in Pierce County all of his life.  Mr. Dixon was a US Army veteran.  He had worked for the Spatola Shoe Factory for over 30 years but had also been a life-long farmer.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late Allen Jackson Dixon & Bessie Tuten Dixon.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Marion Elizabeth Walker Dixon; and his sister, Thelma Rebecca Dixon.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynette Dixon Powers and Kay (Floyd) Brown all of Blackshear; his son, James Allen Dixon of Blackshear; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly (Ken) Beck, Jody (Kristel) Powers, Rebecca (Gabe) Martin, and Sarah (Nicole) West; 8 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Beck, Emily Beck, Gabriel Martin, Libby Martin, Grayson Powers, Camden Powers, Hardy West, and Sutton West; and several nieces, nephews, and other relative.

Graveside services for Mr. Dixon will be held Saturday morning, April 17, 2021, at 11:00 o’clock from the Enon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
