Wayne Lawrence Eason

Mr. Wayne Lawrence Eason, 55, of Odum, passed away late Sunday evening, April 9, 2023, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. 

Born in Miami, FL on June 14, 1967, he had lived in Bushnell, FL for thirty years prior to moving to Odum ten months ago.  He was a 1986 graduate of Pierce County High School and would go on to serve four years in the US Navy.  Following his time in the military, Mr. Eason (CB Handle, Tater) went into the trucking business working for Morris Dairy, Sikes Trucking, Kimberly-Clark, and Wal-Mart for which he would retire.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a lover of all kinds of music.  Mr. Eason was a member of Odum Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. 

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Cyndi Davis Eason of Odum; his son, Tyler Watkins (Jeannine Paterek) of Blackshear; his parents, Bayne & Paulette Larsen Eason of Blackshear; three brothers, Gerome F. Eason of Blackshear and Ricky A. Eason and Brennan P. Eason (Chrissy Thrift) all of Odum; his three grandchildren, Eli Watkins, Anna Jade Watkins, and Braydon Sweat; his in-laws, Terrell & Dianne Davis of Blackshear; his brother-in-law, Mike Davis of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Eason will be held Thursday morning, April 13, 2023, at 11 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in the Bristol Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Eason will be held Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
