Virginia Louise (Clark) Hickox

Mrs. Virginia Louise Clark Hickox, 73 of Patterson, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House.

Born in Indianapolis, IN on August 10, 1946, she had lived in Pierce County most of her adult life.  Mrs. Hickox was retired from the Pierce County Board of Education where she had been a teacher’s aide.  She loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and enjoyed cooking for her family as well as sewing.  Mrs. Hickox always had a smile on her face and loved to play practical jokes on people.    

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Harold & Helen Margret Sims Clark.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Clark.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Hickox of Patterson; her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl & Brent Jacobs of Waycross; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin & Julie Parrott and Bobby & Shei Smith all of Blackshear; a step-son, Mr. & Mrs. Chris Hickox of Douglas; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie & Jean Clark of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hickox will be held Wednesday afternoon, July 15, 2020, at 2:00 o’clock from the Laura Chapel Baptist Church.

Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Hickox will be held Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
