Mr. Vincent Henry Kubik, 55 of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday evening, September 28, 2021, at Memorial Satilla Health.
Born in Kelowna, Canada on November 4, 1965, he had lived in Calgary most of his life before moving to Blackshear in March 2020. Mr. Kubik was retired from the 7-11 Convenience Store after 25 years of service. He may have been from Canada but he fit in nicely here in Southeast Georgia. He found a true love for southern cooking and buttermilk pies, cheesecake, fried okra, and grit were some of his favorites. He also loved to fish, was a huge wrestling fan, and was a natural comedian who loved to aggravate his boys. It was very hard to make him mad no matter what you did and he was truly the sweetest man you would ever meet.
He was a son of the late Arthur Joseph & Georgina Grace Derowin Kubik. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Diane Maria Kubik.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Waun Murray Kubik of Blackshear; two sons, Anthony Tyrone Murray and Patrick Michael Murray all of Blackshear; two brothers, Ronald (Louise) Kubik of Rimbey, Canada and Jason (Beth) Kubik of Portland, OR; a granddaughter, Audrey Reese Murray; three nephews, Christopher Kubik, Blake Kubik, and Jessie Kubik; and several other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Mr. Kubik will be held Tuesday afternoon, October 5, 2021, at 2:00 o’clock at the Big Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the graveside one hour prior to the service.
