Vickie Eleanor (Blanchette) Sweat

Vickie Eleanor Sweat, 68, of Blackshear, Georgia, passed away on October 3, 2023. She was born on June 19, 1955, in Lantana, FL, to Sarah Frances Varnadore Blanchette and the late Jay Grady Blanchette.

Vickie was a loving mother, survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Michael) Wills of Crawfordville, FL, and her sons, Keith (Kris) Harris of Macon, GA, and Levi Cox of Blackshear. She was also a cherished sister to Collette (Jay) Griffin of Blackshear. Vickie adored her grandchildren, Caitlyn Harris, Avery Wills, Allison Wills, Cody Hale, Gavin Wills, Brooke Harris, and Zoe Harris; great-grandchildren, Nixon, Jillian (who was born today, October 3rd), and Ada (due in December). Vickie is also survived by several nieces and other relatives.

Vickie worked as a CNA with Altamaha Health Care before her health issues. She was dedicated to her career and made a difference in the lives of those she cared for.

Outside of work, Vickie had a passion for gardening. She found joy in tending to her plants and watching them flourish. Vickie also had a creative side and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and to color in coloring books.

Vickie was a member of Living River Church of God. 

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date to celebrate Vickie's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Living River Church of God at 5603 GA Hwy 121, Blackshear, GA 31516.
