Sherry Ann Dixon

Ms. Sherry Ann Dixon, 59, of Waycross, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 28, 2022, at Memorial Satilla Health.

Born in Folkston, GA on October 1, 1962, she had lived in Blackshear most of her life before moving to Waycross 22 years ago.  Ms. Dixon had worked at the Jacksonville International Airport prior to working as a cashier at local convenience stores as well as Kroger.  She attended Faith Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She also enjoyed scrapbooking and genealogy.

She was a daughter of the late Revis Lewis Dixon, Sr.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Dale Dixon; a brother, John Boy Dixon; a sister-in-law, Shelly Dixon; a niece, Jessica Dixon; and a nephew, David Dixon.

Survivors include her mother, Judith “Judy” Ann Lloyd Dixon of Waycross; two sisters, Lisa (Randy) Williams of Blackshear and Margie (Ethan) Highsmith of Waycross; two brothers, Revis Dixon, Jr. of Blackshear and Rodney (Barbara) Dixon of Nicholls; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Ms. Dixon will be held Saturday afternoon, October 1, 2022, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
