Sheila Boyett Obituary

Mrs. Sheila Denise Ervin Boyett, 76, of Waycross, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at Twin Oaks Convalescent Center in Alma.

Born in Gastonia, NC on May 26, 1949, she lived in New Smyrna Beach then Bunnell, Florida prior to moving to Waycross in 1999.  While in Florida, Mrs. Boyett worked for AT&T as an operator but since moving to Ware County she had been a homemaker.  She loved to sing and had been very active in church (First Baptist Church – Bunnell) especially working with the GA’s.  She also loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her friends. 

She was a daughter of the late Robert Grier & Lucille Brown Ervin.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Boyett.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Ronald Erwin Boyett of Waycross; a daughter, Chris Roden of St. Augustine; a son, Ronald Erwin Boyett, II of Deland; a sister, Susie Wisniowski of Port Orange; a brother, Bobby (Cathy) Ervin of Deland; 7 grandchildren, Paige (Scott) Fenton, Tiffany (Rickey) Smith, Chase (Kenny) Otero, Emma Boyett, Maggie Boyett, Trey Boyett, and Grace Roden; 4 great grandchildren, Nathan Parrish, Mason Parrish, Waylynn Parrish, and Avery Otero; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will have a service celebrating Mrs. Boyett’s life at a later date.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
