Sharon Lawana (Rigdon) Aspinwall

Mrs. Sharon Lawana Rigdon Aspinwall, 73 of McDonough, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Westbury Health & Rehabilitation Center in McDonough.

Born in Waycross, GA on June 16, 1948, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life. Mrs. Aspinwall loved to talk to people and never met a stranger. She had been a truck driver for many years with her last trucking job being for Boatright Trucking. Mrs. Aspinwall was a member of Bristol Baptist Church.

She was a daughter of the late Jean Flanigan & Bernice Blalock Rigdon.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Jackson Aspinwall; and a brother, Bill Rigdon.

Survivors include her three sons, Lon Aspinwall of Jacksonville, Jeff (Melinda) Aspinwall of Dothan AL, and Chris Aspinwall of Patterson; a sister, Sandra Hawkins of McDonough Ga.; a brother, Shelton (Wanda) Rigdon of Bristol; 5 grandchildren, Tristen Aspinwall, Alex Aspinwall, William Aspinwall, Vincent Aspinwall, and Victoria Aspinwall; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Memorial services for Mrs. Aspinwall will be held Saturday afternoon, September 18, 2021, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.

Visitation for Mrs. Aspinwall will be held at Pearson-Dial Funeral Home one-hour prior to the service.
