Mrs. Sallie Diane Dixon Moseley, 73 of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday morning, May 31, 2022, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross.
Born in Blackshear, GA on July 12, 1948, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life. Mrs. Diane spent her early childhood in North Carolina before moving back to her hometown, where she graduated from Blackshear High School. She pursued a career in cake decorating for M&M, Piggly Wiggly, and Kroger for which she would go on to retire. Mrs. Diane enjoyed baking, reading, watching the hummingbirds and red birds and being at the beach. She spent her days crocheting, embroidering, cross stitching, and sewing and loved teaching these skills to her granddaughters. Mrs. Diane was a longtime member of Hacklebarney Baptist Church, where she participated in VBS and Wonderful Wednesdays.
She was a daughter of the late Frank Foster and Nancy Mozell Carter Dixon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Archie Franklin Moseley; an infant son, Archie David Moseley; a sister, Juleane Tyre; and three brothers, Fred Dixon, Donnie Dixon, Ronnie Dixon.
Survivors include one son, Shon (Dawn) Moseley of Waycross; two sisters, Winifred King of Blackshear and Connie Davis of Waycross; two granddaughters, Tori Moseley and Shonda Moseley; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moseley will be held Thursday afternoon, June 2, 2022, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel with Bro. Monroe Gill officiating & Mrs. Connie Davis giving a family tribute.
Interment will be in the Enon Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Moseley will be held at the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service.
