Ms. Rosie Lee Stucker Boatright, 89 of Waycross, passed away late Wednesday afternoon, April 27, 2022, at Memorial Satilla Health.
Born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 20, 1933, she had lived in Florida and Georgia most of her life before returning to Waycross in 2021. Ms. Boatright had worked as a legal secretary for several law firms over the years before retiring from Hugh McNatt, Attorney at Law, located in Vidalia. She enjoyed gardening/tending to her flowers and playing bridge. She was a good cook and was always busy doing something. Ms. Boatright was of the Christian faith.
She was a daughter of the late George Walter & Ada Lee Willard Stucker. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Della Stucker Mohr; and all three of her brothers, James Thomas “J.T.” Stucker, George Walter Stucker, and Joe Allen Stucker.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Shirlee & David Bennett of Blackshear; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Earl, Jr. & Pam Boatright of Lake Oconee; 2 granddaughters, Jennifer (Marco) Urbano and Amanda Sanders; 4 great grandchildren, Stella Grace Urbano, Olivia “Ollie” Urbano, Liam David Sanders, and Clayton Seth Sanders; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Ms. Boatright will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 3:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 2 until 3.
