Mrs. Rose Marie Cox Beverley, 74, of Blackshear, passed away Monday afternoon, October 30, 2023, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House.
Born in Blackshear, GA on January 7, 1949, she lived in Clewiston, Florida for many years before returning to Pierce County in 2018. Mrs. Beverely had worked for Royals Furniture in Clewiston for many years and after moving to Pierce County she co-owned the M.E. Shop and later owned the Ree Shop. She loved her church, University Boulevard Church of God, and was very active in all capacities especially singing. Mrs. Beverley loved to decorate, especially at Christmas time; and so loved planning for her family reunions which she would work on all year long.
She was a daughter of the late William Austin Cox, Sr. and Elsie Hendley Cox Boren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Madge Walko and Claudette Parr; and eight brothers, Ralph, Charles, Henry, Walter, James, Billy, Wayne, and David Cox.
Survivors include her husband of five years, John Audy “Buddy” Beverley, Jr. of Blackshear; her children, Debi (Richmond) Soles Mancil of Mt. Dora, FL, Bobby James (Danielle) Soles of Clewiston, Justin (Haley) Muniz of Panama City, FL, Chrissy Muniz of West Palm Beach, FL, Joseph (Rachel) Muniz of West Palm Beach, David (Tiffany) Muniz of Kings, NC, Nick Muniz of West Palm Beach, Daniel Muniz of North Carolina, and Rocky (Jenny) Muniz of Clarksville, TN; five sisters, Ellen Clark of Belle Glade, FL, Merle Murray of Blackshear, Eleanor Sweat of Alma, Diane Allen of Hopewell, VA, and Eva Wingate of Loxahatchee, FL; a brother, Lamar Cox of New York; 20 grandchildren, Brandy, Michael, Christopher, Noah, Bailee, Elan, Sinjin, Morgan, Sadler, Jaylen, Rashae, Brooke, Jacob, Hailey, Tristan, Elijah, Jalen, Tony, Ofelia, and Isaiah; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Beverley will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 12 o’clock from the University Boulevard Church of God in Waycross with Pastor Larry Cox and Pastor Shannon Connor officiating.
Visitation for Mrs. Beverley will be held at the church from 11 until 12 on Saturday.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
