Mr. Ronald Benton Peacock, 85 of Patterson, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.
Born in Blackshear, GA on September 3, 1936, in the early 90’s Mr. Peacock and his wife moved back from Kingsland to Patterson. He was a graduate of University of Florida. Mr. Peacock was a Structural Engineer and retired after 30 years for Reynold Smith & Hills and also helped do design work for NASA. He loved his work, he enjoyed shrimping and oystering in his spare time. Mr. Peacock could never pass up a good low country boil. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Jackson & Marie Rilla Raulerson Peacock; his two brothers Virgil & Loomis Peacock.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Virginia Sinclair Peacock of Patterson, GA; three children, Keith (wife, Judy) of Blackshear, Mike (Wife, Karen) of Blackshear, and Gary (wife, Christy) of Woodstock; 7 grandchildren, Brittany (Caleb) Boatright, Christian Peacock (fiancé Cheyenne McDuffie), Justin (Jessica) Peacock, Jonathan Goodin (Stephanie Allen), Storm (Deanna) Peacock, Alyssa Peacock, and Morgan Peacock; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Peacock will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 4:00 o'clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel with Dr. Bill Young officiating.
The family will receive friends at the chapel one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Blackshear City Cemetery.
