Mr. Roger Keith Velie, 62 of Waycross, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020, at his residence.
Born in Waycross, GA on December 14, 1957, he had lived in Pierce, Ware, and Brantley Counties all of his life. He was a 1976 graduate of Waycross High School and attended Real Estate school. Roger was a huge Alabama fan but his family loved him anyway. He was the family clown and was always picking on someone. Roger was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church where he was in Ronnie Thrift’s Sunday school class. Over the years he had been very devoted to his church and his church family.
He was a son of the late Rev. Andrew “Andy” Velie.
