Robert Carroll "Bob" Tucker

Mr. Robert Carroll “Bob” Tucker, 82 of Blackshear, passed away early Thursday morning, December 24, 2020, at Memorial Satilla Health.

Born in Baltimore, MD on August 1, 1938, he had lived in Vidalia for several years prior to moving to Pierce County in 2004.  Mr. Tucker was retired from Standard Container where he had been a Quality Control Supervisor.  He was a former Chaplain at Montgomery State Prison and was currently volunteering as Chaplain at Ware State Prison as well as their Outreach Program.  Mr. Tucker was a member and deacon at Abundant Life Church.  He so enjoyed helping people, shopping, exploring and seeing different things.    

He was a son of the late George McKinley & Carolyn Elizabeth Simmons Tucker.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Darby Tucker; and by his brother, George Tucker, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Kimberly Waldron Tucker of Blackshear; his daughter, Darby (Matthew) Beggarly of Lancaster, PA; his son, Scott (Tim Levy) Tucker of London, England; 4 grandchildren, Zach (Mariela) McCullagh, Caroline McCullagh, Cherith McCullagh, and Samuel Fife; his fur baby, Bella; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Due to the circumstances, the funeral services for Mr. Tucker will be private for family only.

Interment will be held Tuesday morning, December 29, 2020, at 11:00 o’clock at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
