Robert Scott "Skeet" Griffin

Mr. Robert Scott “Skeet” Griffin, 50 of Blackshear, passed away Monday afternoon, January 13, 2020, at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Springs, FL.
 
Born in Waycross, GA on June 2, 1969, he had lived in Ware County prior to moving to Pierce County in 1978.  Scott was a 1987 graduate of Pierce County High School and attended Valdosta State University.  He worked in management at Carolina Skiff for many years and was of the Baptist faith.  Scott had enjoyed playing golf, boating and fishing, and riding four-wheelers – anything that was done with his son, Jackson, who was his pride and joy. 
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Alvin “Bobby” Griffin.   
 
Survivors include his son, Robert Jackson Luke Griffin of Blackshear; his mother, Donna Luke Griffin (Ray Taylor) of Blackshear; his uncle and aunt, Terry & Scarlett Luke of Blackshear; his cousins, Anthony Luke and Anthony’s children, Connor Luke, Hannah Luke (Conner Corbit), and Alec Luke; and Anthony’s granddaughter, little Arie Corbit; and several other relatives and friends.
    
Funeral services for Scott will be held Thursday afternoon, January 16, 2019, at 12 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
 
Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
 
Visitation for Scott will be held at the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service.
 
The family kindly requests employees of Carolina Skiff, and Scott’s high school friends to serve as honorary pallbearers.  Please meet at the funeral home by 11:30 on Thursday morning.
