Mr. Raymond Davis, 73 of Paisley, FL, passed away Sunday evening, December 13, 2020, at his nephew’s residence in Blackshear.
Born in Albany, GA on June 29, 1947, he had moved to Deland, Fl as a child and had lived there his entire life. Mr. Davis had worked as a roofer (Davis Roofing) all of his life and during his younger years had enjoyed riding dirt bike, bogging, and racing & racecars. An outdoorsman, he had also enjoyed fishing & hunting. Mr. Davis loved his kids and grandkids and accepted Christ while in the hospital.
He was a son of the late Robert Jim & Mattie Christeen Thornton Davis. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Helfrich, Shirley Wilson, and Lois Smith; a brother, Cecil Davis; and three brothers-in-law, Floyd Poff, Bob Moore, and William Browning.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Wanda & Jim Appodaca of Wasco, CA and Patricia Davis of Deland; three sisters, Mary Poff and Diane Moore both of Blackshear and Arlene Browning of Homerville; a brother, Robert (Brenda) Davis of Newark, OH; 5 grandchildren, Tahachee Appodaca, Dakota Appodaca, Sierra Appodaca, Brittany Davis, and Desirae Davis; a special friend, Linda Forsythe; his former wife and mother of his children, Mrs. Nancy Morgan; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorialization was by cremation.
