Ms. Patricia Ann “Pat” O’Neal Pugh, 76 of Pearson, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Coffee Regional Medical Center.
Born in Atlanta, GA on February 10, 1945, she had lived in Blackshear for many years before moving to Pearson almost a year ago. Ms. Pugh was a homemaker but was also a former owner/operator of her own daycare business, The Playroom, that she ran out of her home. She loved to read, had tried to be crafty, and over the years had enjoyed spending time at her family’s lake house. Affectionately known as “Floss” by all of her family, she was also the most awesome Meme. She loved to throw the best parties with fun themes and so looked forward to her yearly trips to Panama City Beach. Ms. Pugh had a soft spot for oatmeal cream pies, Coca Colas, and her pet dogs. She was a member of Turning Point Worship Center in Jesup. Ms. Pugh was dearly loved and will be forever missed.
She was a daughter of the late James Luther & Lucille Emma Townsend O’Neal.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim Manning of Screven; two sons, Michael Smith (Pauline Jenkins) of Cumming, GA and Jeff Smith of Talking Rock, GA; three brothers, James (Marjorie) O’Neal of Bremen, Ga, Ronald (Janice) O’Neal of Temple, GA, and Danny O’Neal of Bremen, GA; 5 grandchildren, Tiffany (Matt) Brooks, Brittany Smith (Michael Southern), Tyler (Krystal) Smith, Mekayla Manning (Tyler Turner), and Devan Manning; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Ms. Pugh will be held Friday afternoon, October 8, 2021, at 3:00 o’clock at the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the at the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service.
