Mrs. Patricia Ann Goss Carter, 75 of Screven, passed away Saturday evening, March 13, 2021 at the Miller County Hospital in Colquitt.
Born in Pearson, GA on February 9, 1946, she had lived in Wayne and Appling Counties all of her life. Mrs. Carter had worked as a private sitter and a homemaker for many years. She loved fishing, crocheting when she was bored, crossword puzzles, and fishing some more. Mrs. Carter was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister and will be dearly missed by them all. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was a daughter of the late Garnett & Hazel Davis Goss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kenneth Carter; and by an infant sister, Linda Goss.
Survivors include her three daughters, Susan Evors (fiancé, Duane Bennett) of Screven, Tanya (Quincey) Allen of Patterson, and Garnetta Carter of Screven; four sisters, Mary Kate Goss of Pooler, Erma Mae (Leslie) Cisco of Woodbine, and Rachel Collier and Alicia Ho-Shing both of Jacksonville; two brothers, Raymond Goss of Jacksonville and John (Barbara) Goss of Lake City, FL; 6 grandchildren, William C. Shirley, Amanda (Glenn) Shirley, Tia Allen, Brittany Stanley, Mattie Allen, and Skyler Edenfield; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Graveside services for Mrs. Carter will be held Wednesday afternoon, March 17, 2021, at 2:30 from the Ephesus Church of God Cemetery in Appling County.
Visitation for Mrs. Carter will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 12:45 until 1:45.
