Patricia Ann (Batten) Britt

Ms. Patricia Ann Batten Britt, 77, of Blackshear, passed away early Sunday morning, June 23, 2024, at Baptist Village Nursing Home in Waycross.

Born in Jesup, GA on June 7, 1947, she grew up in Hollywood, FL but had made Pierce County her home most of her adult life.  Ms. Britt was employed with Flash Foods as a cashier for many years and enjoyed coloring, puzzles, crocheting, fishing, and painting.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Waycross and will be forever remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

She was the daughter of the late Bernard Batten and Clara Mae Gray Nicholls.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Billy Britt; two daughters, Tina Hood and Terri Murphy; and a brother, James Batten.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa & David Dobbs of Blackshear and Tammy & Phillip Massey of Athens; a brother and sister-in-law, Felton & Sheila Batten of Blackshear; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service for Ms. Britt will be held Friday morning, June 28, 2024, at 10:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Prewitt officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
