Mrs. Nicy Elizabeth “N.E.” Boyett Sinclair, 99 of Patterson, passed away late Thursday evening, October 24, 2019, at her daughter’s residence.
Born in Blackshear, GA on October 13, 1920, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life. Mrs. Sinclair was a homemaker and farmer’s wife who enjoyed word searches, sewing, cross stitching, and embroidering. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was in the Senior Adult Sunday school class. Mrs. Sinclair was dearly loved by her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great, great grandmother.
She was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland & Nicy Elizabeth Bryant Boyett, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar “Bud” Sinclair; two daughters, Louise Hughes and Judy Douberly; her son, Eddie Wayne Sinclair; five sisters, Alene Dixon, Annie White, Leora Smith, Armilda McLane, and Navon Thomas; and both of her brothers, Quinton Boyett and G. C. Boyett, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Johnny) Clark of Patterson; a son-in-law, Jimmie Douberly of Patterson; a sister, Vinell Boyett of Morgan, GA; 8 grandchildren, Dennis Hughes, Selena Shirley, Tim (Kim) Hughes, Sharon (Steve) Fain, Jeremy (Suzanne) Clark, Leslie Sinclair, Jamie Sinclair, and Julie (Amy) Douberly; 14 great grandchildren, Austin (Andrea) Hughes, Alicia (Matt) Christian, Kristina (Billy) Nottke, Briley (Rebecca) Hughes, Brianna Hughes, Carter Hughes, Rennick Hughes, Jacob Clark, Noah Clark, Nicole (Billy) Williamson, Keri Navarro, Brianna (Trevor) Dowling, Logan Sinclair, and Dakota Sinclair; 15 great, great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sinclair will be held Sunday afternoon, October 27, 2019, at 3:30 from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Interment will be in the New Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family kindly requests members of the Senior Adult Sunday school class serve as honorary pallbearers. Please meet at the church by 3 pm on Sunday.
