Mrs. Nellie Agnes Fitzgerald, 64, of Waycross, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House.
Born in Charlottesville, VA on January 5, 1960, she lived in Waycross most of her adult life. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a homemaker and loved to crochet, play Yahtzee, color, and tend to flowers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jeff Davis Fitzgerald; and a sister-in-law, Vicki Fitzgerald.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, William E. Phillips of Waycross; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda & Nolan Gill of Middleburg, FL and Elizabeth & Ralph Singleton of Mobile, AL; her mother, Beverly Gayle Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, FL; a sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia & Eugene Plitt of Jacksonville; four brothers and a sister-in-law, Jeff Fitzgerald of Sarasota, FL, David Fitzgerald of Jacksonville, Danny & Sheila Fitzgerald of Hilliard, and Chris Fitzgerald of Sarasota; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Jones of Mobile, AL; 8 grandchildren, Donavan Gill, Devan Gill, Isabel (Kaleb) Ryals, Ethan Campbell, Bethany Fitzgerald, Samantha Gill, Raelyn Singleton, and William Singleton; a great grandchild, Asher Ryals; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will have a Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Fitzgerald on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11:00 o’clock from the Old Country Church, 37299 Oxford St., Hillard, FL 32046, with Pastor Chris Caudill officiating.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
