Mrs. Misty Lee Boatright Carter, 45 of Patterson, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, at the Memorial Medical Center in Jacksonville.

Born in Waycross, GA on September 30, 1974, she had lived in Pierce County all of her life. Misty was a homemaker and enjoyed her red birds, loved her family dearly, and always put others before herself.

She was a daughter of the late Robert Fulton “Junior” Boatright, Jr. and Mable Imogene Fish Boatright. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Cheri Strickland; and a brother, Robert Boatright.

Survivors include her husband, Chris Carter of Patterson; her daughter, Casey Carter (fiance’, Tyler Ticefelt) of Patterson; her son, Corey Carter of Patterson; her sister, Lori Smith of Waycross; four brothers, Ricky (Jeanett) Boatright, Tommy (Jody) Boatright, and Stacy Boatright all of Blackshear, and Gene (Kelly) Boatright of Waycross; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Due to COVID-19, the family will have a private graveside service.

There will be no public visitation.
