Melody Kay (Bowers) Herman

Mrs. Melody Kay Bowers Herman, 68 of Patterson, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, at Baptist Village.

Born in Barberton, OH on July 14, 1953, she had lived in South Carolina and Florida for many years prior to moving to Patterson 10 years ago.  Mrs. Herman enjoyed playing with her dog “Scraps”. Before her late husband passed away, she enjoyed traveling the country. Together they have traveled the United States from the peak of Florida all the way to the other side of the country. Mrs. Herman loved to watch her soap operas. Most importantly Mrs. Herman loved her family and spending time with them, after retirement she enjoyed having her great-grandkids over and loving on them. She was of the Catholic Faith.

She was the daughter of the late Robert & Mary Pennington Bowers.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Stephen Herman; and her daughter, Crystal Jenkins.

Survivors include her son, Steven (Vanessa) Herman of Patterson; her brother, Robert “Bob” Bowers of Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, Terry Jenkins, Victoria Jenkins, Bridget Jenkins, Gregory (Ashley) Herman, Jacob Herman (fiancé Sarahann Kicklighter), and Valerie Herman; 2 great grandchildren, Rodney Williams Jr., and Waylon Herman; a son-in-law Terry Jenkins of South Carolina; as well as other relatives.
