Mrs. Mary Virginia Ogle Crane, 81 of Blackshear, passed away Monday morning, June 27, 2022, at her residence.
Born in Bellflower, MO on February 21, 1941, she had lived in Vero Beach, FL for several years before moving to Blackshear in 2018. Mrs. Crane had worked as a housekeeper for 50 years and was very good at it. She liked to sew, work on jigsaw puzzles, cook, dance, and play card/dice games. She also was a big cat lover.
She was a daughter of the late Jessie Daniel Ogle and Sadie Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Bertha Inlaw Ogle; her husband, Ernest Edward Crane; a daughter, Debbie Cooke; a step-son, Greg Crane; a grandchild, Tracie Clark; and her sister, Margaret Gasman.
Survivors include two daughters, Terrie Cass (Robert Taylor) of Vero Beach, FL and Sherrie Webb (Mike Crismond) of Blackshear; three step-sons, Jeff (Bonnie) Crane of Blackshear, Chris (Kathy) Crane of Patterson, and Stan (Ann) Crane of Jacksonville; a brother, Herman Henry (Jeanie) Smith of Missouri; a sister-in-law, Beverly (Gary) Teasley of Missouri; a brother-in-law, Ronnie (Debbie) Crane of St. Joe, MO; 8 grandchildren, Anthony Rushing, Tommy Cass, Steven Crane (Melissa Marie Leon), Jackie Clark, Scott Hoff, Nathan Hoff, Jenny Hoff, and Wyatt Crane; 5 great grandchildren, Levi Crane, Dakota Crane, Madlyn Deberry, Colton Deberry, and Damien Clark; a special friend who was like a son, Francis “Bud Man” King of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will celebrate Mrs. Crane’s life at a later date.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
