Mrs. Marion Bennett Sloan, 86, of Jesup, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024. Marion was a devoted mother, successful businesswoman, and cherished friend to many.

In addition to managing the University of Georgia Georgia Center gift shop and owning the Tap & Toe School of Dance, Marion was a loyal Georgia Bulldogs fan and the proud owner of Sloan's Seafood and Porky's BBQ restaurants. She also held the title of former Bacon County High School Homecoming Queen. Marion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marion was predeceased by her husband, James William “Jim” Sloan; former husband, Ashley E. Hobbs; and parents, Valdese Bennett and Colleen Johnson Bennett of Alma.
