She had a quick wit about her that she inherited from her late father and maintained it up until the end. Mrs. Peace was a member of First Baptist Church – Blackshear – where she was in The Followers Sunday school class as well as a member of The Joy Group. She had also enjoyed being a member of the Daylily Club, the Jaycettes, the Red Hat Society, and the former Blackshear Woman’s Club.
She was a daughter of the late John Robert & Mattie Myrene Altman Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Langford Peace.
