Mrs. Maria Elizabeth “Lisa” Hicks Fleshman, 54, of Blackshear, passed away suddenly Monday evening, July 1, 2024, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.

Born in Corpus Christi, TX on August 29, 1969, she had lived in Pierce County for the last 20 years.  She had worked for Wal-Mart for 27 years and was currently a receiving manager for them.  Lisa loved traveling and being around people.  A faithful military wife, she was a good-hearted woman with the purest soul. Lisa loved the Lord and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Holly Hicks; and a son, Josh Hicks.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Jim Fleshman of Blackshear; three daughters, Amber Vandall of Ohio, Jessica Fears-Fleshman of Dallas, TX, and Haley Bliton of Patterson; two sons, James P. (Brianna) Fleshman, II of Dayton, TX and Christian Fleshman of Waycross; her father, Jerry Hicks of Patterson; her sister, Billie Jo (Pete) Forasiepi of Hitchcock, TX;  7 grandchildren, Angel Amrine, Summer Amrine, Izabella Amrine, Kaden Bliton, Aisley Fleshman, Ransom Conner, Asher Fleshman and a 8th one on the way; her canine children, Vinny, Brooklynn, Lilly, Cooper, and Brutus; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Lisa will be held Monday morning, July 8, 2024, at 11:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Stone officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
