Mr. Marcus Wilson Cannon, 79, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday evening, November 12, 2024, at his residence.
Born in Bell, Fl on June 13, 1945, he lived in Gainesville, FL for many years before moving to Pierce County 22 years ago. Mr. Cannon was a US Army veteran. He retired from trucking where he had been a self-employed truck driver. He loved working in his yard and enjoyed fishing and watching wildlife. He also enjoyed watching the History Channel, comedy shows, and the news. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson & Audrey Waters Cannon; his wife, Anna Marie Fidler Cannon; and all of his brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his friends who were like family, Cheryl & Jimmy Simmons, Danielle & John Dixon-Willis, Cody Musgrove, Kyle & Karen Moore, and Kevin & Connie Moore all of Blackshear.
Mr. Cannon’s wishes were to be cremated with no public service.
Memorialization is by cremation.
