M. Lynn (Davis) Roberts

Ms. Merritt Lynn Davis Roberts, 64 of Blackshear, passed away Friday evening, July 15, 2022, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross.

Born in Blackshear, GA on February 25, 1958, she had lived in Pierce County all her life.   Lynn loved her family, especially her granddaughters, and friends and enjoyed spending time at family gatherings. She was a fun-loving person with a great sense of humor and loved having a good laugh. Lynn was a member of First Baptist Church.

She was a daughter of the late Harley Merritt “HM” and Margaret Elizabth Pittman Davis.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Harley Davis and Jeff Davis; and a niece, Marla Davis.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Justin & Jamie Roberts of Blackshear; a sister-in-law, Sharon D. Taylor of Blackshear; her aunt & uncle, Kay & Gene Bowen of Blackshear; three grandchildren, Mia Roberts, Leila Ruth Roberts, and Liza Rae Roberts; three nieces, Jami Lynn Carter, Sara Davis, and Holly Davis; two great nieces, Leigha Sweat and Jensi Grace Smith; two great nephews, Zach Sweat and Seth (Leigh Ann) Carter; her pet Chihuahua, Maggie; and several other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Lynn will be held Tuesday evening, July 19, 2022, at 7 o’clock from Pearson-Dial Chapel with Mr. Tony Batten officiating.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

The family will receive friends at the chapel one hour prior to the service.
