Mrs. Lynda Loleeta Bennett Brewer, 81, of Waycross, passed away Friday afternoon, July 19, 2024, at Memorial Satilla Health.
Born in Manor, GA on July 18, 1943, she had lived in Ware County most of her life. Mrs. Brewer had been a waitress at Adolph’s Restaurant. She enjoyed doing puzzles, tending to her flowers, and crocheting and loved spending time with all of her grandchildren.
She was a daughter of the late Thomas Newbern Bennett. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Edna Tuttle; a daughter-in-law, Lochlyn Brewer; a grandson, Winston Brewer; three sisters, Marlene Crawford, Faye Green, and Gale Kelly; and her former husband, Wayne Brewer.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Brewer (fiance’, Daniel Opp) of Waycross; three sons, Tony Brewer of Kingsland, Stephen (Denise) Brewer of Weirsdale, FL, and Shane (Rhonda) Brewer of Blackshear; three sisters, Marilyn (Alex) Peavey, Dale (Ricky) Shey, and Deborah (Dennis) Fulford, III all of Waycross; 6 grandchildren, Jamie Brewer, Holly (Rick) Terrell, Brandi Smart, Cammeron Brewer, Courtland Brewer, and Kayla Cardoza; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brewer will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 3 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Powell officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock.
Interment will be in the Beulah Cemetery.
