Lori Smith Obituary

Mrs. Lori Ann Boatright Smith, 58, of Waycross, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas.

Born in Blackshear, GA on May 22, 1964, she had lived in Alabama for several years before moving to Ware County in 2016.  Mrs. Smith had worked in retail for a number of years prior to starting her own cleaning business, Smith’s Cleaning, which she ran until her retirement.  She loved fishing, gardening, traveling – especially to the mountains and the beach, but spending time with her family gave her the greatest joy.  Her grandchildren meant the world to her along with her pet dogs, Miller, Hope, and Miracle.

She was a daughter of the late Robert Fulton & Mable Imogene Fish Boatright, Jr.  She was also preceded in death by both of her sisters, Cheri Strickland and Misty Carter; and two brothers, Gene Boatright and Robert Boatright.

Survivors include her husband, Eric Domen of Waycross; her daughter and son-in-law, DeeDee & Harold Newbrough of Waycross; her son, Joshua Dale Daniel of Macon; 3 brothers, Ricky (Jeanette) Boatright, Stacy Boatright, and Tommy (Jody) Boatright all of Blackshear; 4 grandchildren, Madison Chambers, Alexis Newbrough, Dylan Newbrough, and Rochelle Ball; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

As per Mrs. Smith’s wishes, there will be no service but her family will honor her life at a later date.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
