Linnie Mae Taylor Obituary

Mrs. Linnie Mae Wilson Taylor, 68, of Blackshear, GA, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Born in Homerville, GA on October 24, 1956, she had lived in Ware County prior to moving to Blackshear in 1980.  She was a homemaker but had worked in cap factories such as Rueben Brothers, Julie Hat, and South Georgia Cap, for many years.  Mrs. Taylor enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers with her husband, traveling – especially to the beach, spending time with her dear family, and just “loafing” around.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She was a daughter of the late Frank Dennis & Clio Bennett Wilson.  She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lillie Conners and Laura Ann Lloyd; and three brothers, Leo Wilson, Dennis Wilson, and Melvin Wilson.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 52 years, Joseph Taylor of Blackshear; her daughter, Tonya Taylor of Blackshear; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel & Annabelle Taylor of Offerman and Derek Taylor of Blackshear; a sister, Linda Sue (Randy) Sweat of Nicholls; two brothers, Raymond (Janice) Wilson of Waycross and Wayne (Faye) Wilson of Blackshear; 10 grandchildren, Gerniee (Zach) Saylor, Devin Taylor, Quetin Eason, Romey Eason, Frankie Eason, Sydney Taylor, Kendle Taylor, Bayne Taylor, Landon Taylor, and Sasha Eason; 5 great grandchildren, Korbin Griffin, Grayson Saylor, Baylen Eason, Kannon Griffin, and Gatlen Saylor; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
