Mr. Leon Robert “Bob” Courson, 66 of Blackshear, passed away Friday morning, July 29, 2022, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.
Born in Blackshear, Ga on August 31, 1955 to the late Earnie Leon “EL” & Mary Nell Rowell Courson, he was a graduate of Blackshear High School, class of 1974. Bob was also a graduate of Georgia Southern College and was a much-loved substitute teacher in the local area school systems. He was a Christian and follower of Jesus Christ.
Other than his parents he was also preceded in death by his older brother, Joe Courson.
Bob leaves behind a host of friends who became his family. He was so grateful to them all for making him feel loved.
Per Bob’s wishes, there will not be any services.
Interment will be in Blackshear City Cemetery.
