Kenneth Leroy "Kenny" Sorrells

Mr. Kenneth Leroy “Kenny” Sorrells, 61 of Blackshear, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Clearwater, FL on June 6, 1961, he had lived in Spring Hill, FL for several years prior to moving to Blackshear nineteen years ago.  Kenny had worked in the dry wall industry for many years.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed fishing.  He will be remembered as a loving father, papaw, and brother.

He was a son of the late William Edward Sorrells and Frances Louise Vann Gaut.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Sorrells; and his brother, Johnny Ray Sorrells.

Survivors include his girlfriend of 22 years, Tawnya McGuire of Blackshear; his children, Kenneth Charles “K.C.” Sorrells of Tampa, Kendall Sorrells of Ruskin, FL, and Stacy McGuire and James Byrd both of Blackshear; his sister, Sue (Littleman) Brady of Lake City, FL; 7 grandchildren; a special niece, Tammy (Kevin) Walls of Eatonton, GA; a great niece, McKenna Brady of Lake City; and several other relatives and friends.

The family will celebrate Kenny’s life at a later date.
