Kathy Lee (Ferrell) Smiley

Mrs. Kathy Lee Ferrell Smiley, 61, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 4, 2024, at her residence.

Born in Blackshear, GA on December 21, 1962, she lived in Pierce County all her life.  Mrs. Smiley was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.  She was a proud grandmother who dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed all sorts of arts and crafts as well as good joke or two.

She was a daughter of the late Herbert Hugh & Willie Mae Crews Ferrell.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kim Ferrell Tippins.

Survivors include her husband, Lemar Smiley of Blackshear; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary & Kee Blocker of Blackshear; her son, Michael Smiley of Blackshear; a sister, Sprucy Jones of Sautee-Nacoochee, GA; 2 grandchildren, Kinsleigh Stearley and Keelan Blocker; a special friend, Susan Luke of Offerman; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smiley will be held Thursday morning, February 8, 2024, at 11:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
