Ms. Judith Thiele Thompson, 67, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday morning, September 20, 2025, at her residence.
Born in Jacksonville, FL on September 28, 1957, she had lived in Pierce County for the past 15 years. She spent her time taking care of her home and her yard, as well as caring for her fur babies, and trying to rescue all the animals that she could. She was a daughter of the late William George and Audrey Lou Conley Thiele.
Survivors include her husband, John Barber of Blackshear; two step-sons, John Barber, Jr. of Brunswick and Joe Barber of Blackshear; a sister, JoAnn (Frankie) Manuel of Waycross; one grandchild, Parker Barber; nieces, Alaina McQuaig and Amanda Manuel; nephew, Scott Rowland; great-niece and nephews, Kylar Drawdy, Easton Jones, Draigen McQuaig, and Saelah McQuaig; her fur babies, Sadie, Ronnie, LittleBit, and Mallory; and several other friends and relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
