Mrs. Judith Arizona “Judy” Pearson Bennett, 72 of Blackshear, passed away early Monday morning, June 21, 2021, at Harborview – Pierce County.
Born in Waycross, GA on March 8, 1949, she had lived in Pierce County all her life. Mrs. Bennett retired from Wall’s IGA where she had worked as a cashier for many years. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends and family.
She was a faithful member of Living River Church of God and loved her church family.
She was a daughter of the late Henry Coy & Arizona Luke Pearson. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Eason, Cathryn Robbins, and Betty Carter; and her brother, Danny Pearson.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Bennett of Abbeville; four sons, Lee Altman (Anne Goyette) of Smyrna, Brian (Nancy) Altman of Blackshear, Brent Altman of Waycross, and Brandon Bullard of Adel; a sister, Dorothy “Dot” Giddens of Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren, Keith (Shelby) Altman, Mercedes (Seth) Johnson, Jamie (Sarah) Griner, Chase Altman, Brice Altman, Bayne Bullard, and Levi Davis; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bennett will be held Friday morning, June 25, 2021, at 11:00 o’clock from the Living River Church of God.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church Friday morning from 10 until 11.
