Obituary

Mr. John Ezra Jackson IV, 59, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Kindred Hospital of North Florida in Green Cove Springs.

Born in Waycross, GA on December 15, 1963, he had lived in Pierce County during his younger years and in Statesboro during his late teens but had lived in Florida since 2000. Mr. Jackson was a 1981 graduate of Statesboro High School and served in the US Marines.  He was in the exterior construction business with his son and enjoyed music, spending time with family - especially his grandchildren, and just relaxing.

He was the son of the late John Ezra & Joanne Erdmier Jackson, III.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Virginia Sullivan Jackson; and his sister, Janet Jackson.

Survivors include his daughter, Macy Jackson of Jacksonville; his son and daughter-in-law, Matt & Roxanne Jackson of Middleburg; 5 grandchildren, Aiden Jackson, Landon Jackson, Joanna Jackson, Aubrey Jackson, and Emily Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Jackson will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 11:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be in the Winn-Thomas Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service.
