Ms. Jeanette M. Branch Rogers, 74 of Blackshear, passed away Saturday evening, October 22, 2022, at Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross.
Born in Hortense, GA on November 23, 1947, she had lived in Pierce and Wayne counties most of her life. Ms. Rogers worked with the tobacco crews at her husband’s farm. She had also worked at the Blackshear Shoe Factory and later became a housewife. She loved fishing, the outdoors, and flowers. Ms. Rogers was of the Baptist Faith.
She was a daughter of the late Willie D. Branch and Dorothy Lee Pierce Branch Aspinwall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tony Rogers; a son, Curtis Westberry; a sister, Ruby Moody; and two brothers, Thomas Branch and Elvin Branch.
Survivors include a son, David Westberry; three sisters, Winnie Lee Manning of Manning Town, Nancy Ann (Roger) Brooks, and Mae Dean Carter of Blackshear; two brothers, Pete Branch of Mount Pleasant and Preston Branch of Blackshear; five grandchildren, Dasha (RJ) Dean, Kailey (Tyler) Pierce, Libby Youmans, Shane (Brittany) Youmans, and Abby (Leon) Hope; nine great grandchildren; two special friends, Gary Bullard of Patterson and Torey Smith of Blackshear; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
