Mrs. Jean Crosby Sinclair, 75 of Mershon, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020, at her residence.
Born in Spartanburg, SC on March 2, 1945, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life. Mrs. Sinclair was the Salutatorian of the 1963 Patterson High School graduating class and went on to graduate from Okefenokee Technical Institute as a CNA. For many years she worked alongside her husband as he farmed and worked in the ministry. She became a nursing assistant and worked at Baptist Village as well as Unison Health where she took care of adult mentally disabled girls. She cared for those girls like she would her own children and she was much loved by them. For over 40 years she was faithful in supporting her husband as he pastored several area churches. She was a wonderful mama and the best Grandma in the world. We know that today, she is praising her Savior alongside her husband and daughter.
She was a daughter of the late Owen Crosby. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Alonzo Jackson “Jack” Sinclair; a daughter, Lora Sinclair; and by two brothers, Mike Crosby and Ray Crosby.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy & Joel Price of Patterson; her son and daughter-in-law, Lon & Teresa Sinclair of Mershon; her mother, Beatrice Crosby of Mershon; three sisters, Eunice (Howard) Jones and Carolyn Dixon all of Mershon and Sue Carter of Blackshear; two brothers, Charles (Wanda) Crosby of Bristol and Frank (Pat) Crosby of Mershon; 6 grandchildren, Mitch, Bre, Hunner, Luke, Maggie, and Oliver; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
