Janice Madeline (Wade) Swartz-Painter

Ms. Janice Wade Swartz-Painter, 72, of Waycross, GA passed away in her home on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

Jan was born on January 16,1950 at Bexley Maternity Hospital in London. She was an Orphan of the Church Of England Children’s Society and grew up in Princes Risborough.  Jan had lived in Omaha, NE before coming to Waycross, GA to be closer to her family. She also spent many years of her life in Florida where she started her own business and became very successful.

She founded ASAP Yacht Documentation & Registration Inc. and later All Yacht Registries, Inc. and for many years she worked tirelessly to help as many people as she possibly could and had a true passion for her work. A lady of many talents, she loved to write poetry, redesign homes and had even written an autobiography for which she was very proud of. Jan was also a retired astronaut and had a deep love for her dogs.

She was the daughter of the late Maurice Roy Wade and Ameila Maude Wayling.

She was survived by her dogs, Lil Bit and Bow Wow, her Daughter Lisa Katherine Swartz and Grandson Matthew Bradley Viswanathan of Naples, FL. It is unknown if her Sister Carol Vanessa (“Vanessa”) and Mother Ameila are still alive.

She will be missed dearly by all who had the chance to work with her and befriend her.

Memorialization is by cremation.
