Jacqueline Collie (Gunter) Gunter

Ms. Jacqueline Collie Gunter, 70, of Waycross, passed away early Monday morning, October 7, 2024, at Baptist Village Nursing Home in Waycross.

Born in Waycross, GA on December 30, 1953, she lived in Biloxi, MS for many years before returning to Waycross in 1993.  Ms. Gunter was a homemaker.  She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family.  She was of the Church of God faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Allen & Lois Pauline Meeks Gunter.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Gunter Staley; and a sister-in-law, Brenda Gunter.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Walker of Waycross; her son, Michael Morales of Jacksonville, FL; her sister, Teresa (Randy) Dixon of Blackshear; two brothers, Glenn Gunter and Keith Gunter both of Waycross; 3 grandchildren, Olivia McConney, Emily Carver, and Curtis Morales; a great grandchild, Lilith Carver; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Ms. Gunter will be held Wednesday afternoon, October 9, 2024, at 3:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Justin Gambrell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel immediately following the service.

Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
