Jacob Thomas Sapp

Mr. Jacob Thomas Sapp, 32, of Blackshear, passed away early Thursday, March 20, 2025, at his residence.

Born in Brandon, FL on July 13, 1992, he lived in Pierce County since 2004.  Jacob was a 2010 graduate of Pierce County High School.  He worked in farming as well as construction with UPR.  Jacob enjoyed the outdoors whether it was fishing, riding four wheelers, or being at Grace Lake.  He loved all sports, enjoyed watching documentaries on tv, and loved hanging out with his friends.  He attended Offerman Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert H. Smith and Bonnie Barber Smith; by his paternal grandparents, Parnell & Betty Dixon Sapp; two aunts, Susie Sapp and Linda Watkins; and five uncles, Eddie Teston, Bud Thornton, Dexter Sapp, Robert W. Smith, and David Alan Smith. 

Survivors include his son, Jacob Parnell Sapp of Waycross; his parents, Walter Thomas “W.T.” & Susan Smith Sapp of Blackshear and New Smyrna Beach, FL; his sister, Kayla Sue Sapp of Blackshear; a nephew, Kandon Kinnon of Waycross; aunts and uncles, Wanda (Shelton) Rigdon of Bristol, Carol (Donnie) Watkins of Mershon, Bonnie Thornton of Patterson, Anita Teston of Patterson; May (Ray) Douberly of Patterson, Jerry Watkins of Mershon, JoAnna (Timmy) White of Patterson, Larry Sapp of Patterson, Bobby (Margaret) Sapp of Richmond Hill, and Paula Smith of New Smyrna Beach; and numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services for Jacob will be held Thursday afternoon, March 27, 2025, at 2 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Lightsey officiating.

Visitation will be held in the chapel one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery.

The family kindly requests members of the PCHS Class of 2010 as well as UPB & Townsend Tree Service employees to serve as honorary pallbearers.  Please meet at the funeral home chapel by 1:30 on Thursday.
