Jack Cason Obituary

Mr. Jack Ronald “Ronnie” Cason, 76 of Patterson, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the Bacon County Hospital.

Born in Patterson, GA on March 29, 1945, he had lived in Pierce County of his life.  Mr. Cason was a Patterson High School graduate and retired from CSX Transportation where he had been a signalman.  He loved fishing, spending time with his family, and working at his church, University Blvd. Church of God. 

He was a son of the late John Randal & Edna Boyett Cason.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Davis; and by a brother, Raymond Cason.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marlene Gill Cason of Patterson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Matt & Susan Cason of Mauk, GA and Chris & Marlana Cason of Waycross; his brother, J. H. Cason, wife Margie, of Blackshear; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Cason, Zachary Cason, wife Madison, Autumn Cason, Brianna Dowling, husband Trevor, and Hayden Cason; two great grandchildren, Cordelia Dowling and Huxton Dowling; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mr. Cason will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 2:00 o’clock from the University Blvd. Church of God in Waycross with Rev. Andy Peacock, Rev. Jerry Herndon, and Rev. Matt Cason officiating.

Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock.

Active pallbearers will be Joshua Cason, Zachary Cason, Hayden Cason, Richie Daniels, Mark Johnson, and Harley Cason.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Hampton, Denny Davis, and Greg Hayes.  Please meet at the church by 1:30 on Saturday afternoon.
