Mr. Hiram Wayne White, 75 of Mershon, passed away Thursday evening, October 10, 2019, at the Waycross Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Columbus, GA on September 19, 1944, he had lived in Homestead, FL for several years before moving to Bacon County in 1998. Mr. White was a retired mechanic for the Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant in Homestead and spent his retirement tinkering around the house and being a handy man. He loved the outdoors – fishing and camping, and riding his golf cart and four-wheeler. Mr. White was of the Baptist faith but attended Martha Memorial Methodist Church.
He was a son of the late Willie Frank & Willie Gertrude Wright White. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Harold White.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly & Jeffrey Rasor of Lake Worth, FL; his son, Jason White of Mershon; his brother, Roger White of Homestead, FL; his two grandchildren, Griffin Rasor and Mason White; his two nieces, Rhonda (Matt) Dvornak and Danielle White; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. White will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 2:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Interment will be in the Martha Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, October 18, 2019, from 6 until 8 o’clock at the funeral home.
