Mrs. Helen May Gamble Holman, 89, of Blackshear, passed away Monday morning, November 13, 2023, at Harborview – Pierce County Nursing Home.
Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on January 6, 1934, she lived in New Jersey most of her life before moving to Pierce County in 2019. Mrs. Holman had been a braider for Ward Products and was of the Methodist faith. She loved country music and DIY shows, always enjoyed shopping, and was a wonderful cook and baker. Mrs. Holman also enjoyed crocheting and sewing, was a puzzle fanatic, and never missed a chance to play bingo.
She was a daughter of the late Lester Luther & Lilian May Ayers Gamble. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward George Holman; four sisters, Jennie Syers, Estella Syers, Mamie Gamble, and Lillian Robertson; and her brother, Johnny Gamble.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie & Craig Wondoloski of Blackshear; a sister, Hazel Gamble of New Brunswick, NJ; 3 grandchildren, Zoey (Andrew) Lee, Emily Wondoloski, and Denise Crigger; a great grandchild, Reid Thomas Lee; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mrs. Holman’s wishes were to be cremated and taken home to New Brunswick to be interred with the rest of her family.
