Harry Lee Coley

Mr. Harry Lee Coley, 76, of Richmond Hill, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 9, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.

Born in Waycross, GA on August 6, 1948, he lived in Richmond Hill since 1988.  Mr. Coley was a 1966 graduate of Waycross High School.  He retired from the Corp of Engineers and went on to obtain his license as a certified real estate appraiser, which he did for a number of years.  Mr. Coley loved football and enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs.  He also enjoyed collecting coins and was especially interested in Roman coins.  He enjoyed watching the History Channel and the SCIFI Channel. 

He was the son of the late Harley Lee & Annie Ruth Farr Coley.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Coley Witt.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Margaret Thomas Coley of Richmond Hill; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott & Maggie Coley of Pooler; 4 granddaughters, Grace Coley, Harper Coley, Ansleigh Witt, and Addison Witt; two sisters, Carolyn Coley Dixon of Waycross and Ann Coley Thigpen (Travis) of Chesterfield, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A private graveside service for Mr. Coley will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the Oakland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of the givers choosing.
