Mr. Gerald Wayne “Jerry” Williamson, 56 of Patterson, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at his residence.
Born in Jacksonville, FL on December 4, 1966, he had lived in Ware & Pierce Counties most of his life. Mr. Williamson was a 1986 graduate of Pierce County High School. Following his high school graduation, he went to work for the City of Waycross in their Water Department and remained there until he had to retire due to his health. Mr. Williamson was a big racing fan and loved watching NASCAR and Street Outlaws. He also enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves and in his younger days had enjoyed fishing.
He was a son of the late Ernest Carroll Williamson and Betty Jane Henley Williamson.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Gwena & James Payne of Keystone Heights, FL; his sister, Susan Williamson of Patterson; his brother and sister-in-law, Randy & Karen Williamson of Jesup; 3 grandchildren, Brayleigh Payne, Remington Payne, and Levi Payne; his nephew, Matthew Williamson; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Williamson will be held Tuesday morning, February 7, 2023, at 11:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
Visitation for Mr. Williamson will be held Monday evening from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.
