Gail Lavonne Owens

Miss Gail Lavonne Owens, 72, of Patterson, passed away Sunday evening, December 29, 2024, at Harborview – Pierce County Nursing Home.

Born in Florence, SC on June 8, 1952, she lived in Jacksonville, FL prior to moving to Pierce County in 1984.  She was a graduate of the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine, FL.  Miss Gail was a great seamstress in her younger days and had also enjoyed quilting.  She loved being with her family and enjoyed taking care of her nieces and nephews when they were young.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She was the daughter of the late Baitie Tillman & Josie Evangeline Howard Owens.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Owens, Sr.

Survivors include her two brothers and sister-in-law, Linwood & Patricia Owens of Patterson and Stacy Owens of Newalla, OK; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Miss Gail will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 12:00 o’clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitch Hall officiating.

Visitation will be held in the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
